Phuket International Airport sits about 35 km from Patong, on the northern tip of the island. The drive winds through Phuket's hills and takes 50–60 minutes in free flow.
October to March is the island's high season, with morning and evening jams on the approach to the airport. We recommend pickup 3.5 hours before an international flight and 2.5 hours before a domestic one — check-in without rushing.
Making the flight on time
