The drive to the pier
From the Don Mueang terminals to the Laem Ngop pier is about 360 km: first around Bangkok on the tolled expressways, then Route 3 through Rayong and Trat.
The transfer fare is locked at booking and does not depend on the time of day, the season or the number of passengers. Road tolls are already included.
Crossing to the island
The car takes you to the Laem Ngop pier and boards the ferry with you. The ferry ticket is paid separately on the spot — ฿100 per person, it is not included in the transfer price. After the crossing the same car drives on to your hotel or address on the island.
The ferry takes about 45 minutes. There is no transfer and no dragging suitcases: you stay with the same car and the same driver the whole way.
Allow extra time for the ferry itself: it runs on a schedule, and in high season there can be a queue at the pier.
Why not a bus or a taxi on arrival
Don Mueang is the low-cost hub and flights often land late. The driver tracks your flight and the first 2 hours after landing are included, but the ferry runs on a schedule — for a late arrival plan a night on the mainland.
